DOLOPlant FORTE

Wild yam root grows in the Midwest and eastern United States, in Latin America (especially Mexico) and in Asia. There are several species with similar constituents and properties; the root is used medicinally. At Harvard Medical School in Boston, a bone-strengthening preparation was tested in 2010 — using plants that have been used for centuries to treat osteoporosis. The results were very positive: the medicinal botanicals used in DOLOPlant FORTE cream markedly stimulated the proliferation of bone-forming cells (osteoblasts) while preventing their increased destruction, as occurs in osteoporosis. The botanicals also improved calcium uptake into the bones — both short- and long-term — and strongly stimulated the formation of two proteins important for bone building (collagen I and laminin B2). The researchers concluded that the bone-strengthening botanicals in DOLOPlant FORTE may be used to help prevent osteoporosis.
